We understand how distressing it can be to leave something behind. At Wood Chalets Ella, every item found on our property is handled with the utmost care. Whether you’ve left something behind or found something that isn’t yours, we’re here to help reunite belongings with their rightful owners.
HOW IT WORKS
- Report or Enquire Contact us via email or WhatsApp with a description of the item and when and where it was lost. Please include your booking reference if possible.
- We Search & Verify Our team will search our Lost & Found storage and verify ownership. Items are logged, tagged, and stored securely upon discovery.
- Arrange Return Once identified, we’ll coordinate the return — either for in-person collection or arrange shipping at the owner’s cost within Sri Lanka.
HELPFUL TIPS
- Provide as much detail as possible about your item — colour, brand, size, or any distinguishing features — to help us identify it quickly.
- Items found on the property are stored securely for up to 90 days. After this period, unclaimed items may be donated to local charities.
- Valuables such as passports, jewellery, electronics, and cash are kept in our safe and given priority attention.
- If you have found an item that does not belong to you, please hand it to our front desk or contact us — your honesty is deeply appreciated.
- For items to be shipped, the owner is responsible for courier costs. We will assist with packaging and dispatch arrangements.
