We recently visited Chill Hotel in Ella for a family lunch and had an absolutely amazing experience. The food was truly outstanding, both in taste and presentation. Every dish was beautifully plated and full of flavor, showing real attention to detail in the kitchen. The menu offers a great variety, and everything we tried was fresh and well prepared.
Even though the place was quite busy and can accommodate a large crowd, the service was impressively fast. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. It is easy to see why this place is famous among both locals and tourists visiting Ella. The prices are also very reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes.
The washrooms were clean and well maintained, although there was a small queue due to the crowd. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience for our whole family. Highly recommended if you are in Ella and looking for great food with excellent service.

If you’re visiting Ella, this spot is an absolute must. We enjoyed it so much during our two-night stay that we went back twice—and honestly, we would have gone again if we had more time!
From the moment you walk in, the vibe is incredible. During the day and early evening, it’s a relaxed bar and restaurant with delicious food and warm, friendly staff. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—easily some of the best we had in Sri Lanka.
Then, from Thursday to Sunday, the place transforms into a lively club, and it’s such a fun experience. The crowd is wonderfully mixed, the music is great, and the atmosphere is electric without ever feeling overwhelming. Whether you’re 18 or 80, you can genuinely enjoy yourself here. It’s one of those places where everyone just feels welcome.
Amazing food, great energy, and some of the friendliest people you’ll meet—this spot truly has it all. Highly recommended!

We visited that place on friday for the lunch. The food, drinks and stuff were amazing so we decided to come back for dinner and the breakfast in the morning. Menu is very elaborate: various vegan and meat dishes, local lankan as well as international - everyone would find there sth for themselves. Portions were big enough for me, however my teenage son had to order two mine dishes 🤭 to be satisfied. Everything was delicious. Same goes to drinks - alcoholic as well as virgin were very tasty. They have also nice milkshakes and hot chocolate. About 21:00 on friday night staff prepared place at upper deck for dancing, pushing tables aside and making room for dj. Place is open from 8:30 in the morning (breakfast menu till about 11:45) to 2 at night (from 22:00 is night kitchen with short menu).
I can highly recommend this place.

Tried "By the sea" (grilled tuna) and mango juice. Generous portion of tuna, well prepared. Mango juice is as good as it gets. During lunch hours I got a seat easily.
I liked menu options, there's a lot to choice from.
Then I visited in the evening - there's a lot of people, there was a queue to get in. And in the evening waiters are really busy, you need to wait a bit to be served.
Overall the place definitely deserves a visit.

It was a good dining experience. The food tasted great and was nicely presented with reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and attentive. The place is very cozy, with a homey vibe, and the interior is mostly wood, which gives it a warm and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot to chill and dine with friends or family.
